The Dalian Wolfhounds was founded in 1995 and after introducing Dalian to Gaelic Football, popularity has grown. The Wolfhounds have continued to grow and have competed at multiple tournaments over their lifetime bringing in players from as far afield as Bantry & Inner Mongolia (and every continent in between).

On the back of their tillt at the 2010 All China games in Shenzhen the Wolfounds have been feverishly preparing for the Asian Gaelic Games in Hong Kong. Despite nice soft summer weather in Dalian that wouldn’t be out of place in Ireland, all the rain hasn’t damped the Wolfhounds spirits are our training guru Stephen Dillon has been putting the team through its paces.

The Ladies team will be looking to build on an impressive outing at the China games where they were successful in the Plate competition. For many of the team this was their first competitive football action and they will be hoping to bring this winning experience to bear in Hong Kong.

Despite having 2 mens teams at the China games, injuries and work commitments mean that there will only be one pack of Wolfhounds at the Asia Games. However, they will be as competitive as ever and looking to follow the girl’s example and bring home some silverware to Dalian.
